 The goal of this map is to show the size and proximity of farms protected by the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board in Franklin County Vermont. Use of aerial photography as the base allows the surrounding land use / land cover to be easily interpreted. A high level of detail is displayed with few other data sets required (town lines, surface waters and route numbers were added for reference). The protected farm properties are highlighted with a transparency effect so the underlying features are not obscured. Digital Orthophotography was provided by the Vermont Mapping Program, Property Valuation and Review Division Tax Department |
